Caster Selection

To ensure that our customers use the castors to fit your products, please contact us explicitly the use the load required and the environment or any special conditions, let us help you choose the most suitable castors.

To keep function of casters going well, users do not adjust the internal structure, please contact us if the damage or malfunction caused part.

Wheel Selection

PP (Polyolefin) Wheel

PP wheels are made of polyolefin (also called polypropylene) with one shot injection, it have advantages like impact resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. The general color is little yellow and most of customers always confused concepts for cheaper white PP wheel and expensive white PA wheel.

Sandwich Wheel

Sandwich wheel is with good resistance to impact, good shock resistance and good low-temperature resistance.

PA (Nylon) Wheel

Nylon, also called Polyamide, is generally used in industrial casters, due to its hardness, high loading capacity and long life. However, nylon wheels create noise while moving on floor surfaces, making them unsuitable for using in hospitals and other environments where quiet is required.

High Temperature Resistance Wheel

High temperature resistance wheel are specially designed for the high-temperature areas, such as chemical industry and food baking industry, it have the capacity to 280 with strong load capacity, great impact resistance and aging-resistant function.

PVC Wheel

PVC wheel is low-cost solution with acceptable quality level.

Transparent Wheel

Transparent wheels are made of PC or PU material with good looking, and used to furniture equipment, medical equipment and sports equipment (such as scooter, skating and skateboard), and it is unofficial named Silicon PU wheel by some customers.

PU (Polyurethane) Wheel

Polyurethane wheels feature a higher durability and capacity material than rubber, provide longer wear, and will not damage your floors like cast iron or steel. A wide variety of liquid cast polyurethane wheels are offered and used in a wide variety of wheel surfaces, including medical and industrial casters to ensure perfectly smooth, silent movement. These casters will not leaving marks on floor surfaces, even under heavy loading. However, PU has weaker hydrolytic stability. As a result, the durability of PU wheels may be affected by humid environments, along with the cleaning chemicals and high temperature steam sterilization processes regularly used in hospitals. In addition, a PU surfaces will gradually harden and degrade if kept in a cold environment (< 0° Celsius) for long periods of time.

TPU Wheel

TPU equals PU. TPU are used in all sorts of hospital facilities such as sickbeds, medical equipments, high grade restaurants and supermarkets etc.

TPR Wheel

Thermoplastic Rubber (also called Performa Rubber) is another material commonly used in wheel surfaces, including medical and industrial casters. The main advantage of a TPR wheel surface is tis elasticity, which gives it good shock-absorbing properties while in motion. This makes TPR the ideal material for medical equipment caster wheels. However, due to a softer wheel surfaces, TPR has a slightly lower loading capacity than PU. In addition, TPR wheel surfaces may gradually deform and consequently affect caster function if left stationary for prolonged periods under heavy loading.

TPE Wheel

TPE can be viewed as TPR. TPE wheels offer the advantages of both hard and soft tread materials in a single wheel. Like a hard tread wheel, TPE rolls easily and is very durable. Like a soft tread wheel, it rolls quietly, protects floors and resists impacts with a cushion ride. It also features maximum weather ability, low temperature flexibility, resistance to chemicals, water and steam, and rejects floor debris such as metal shavings. Non-marking thermoplastic elastomeric tread is permanently bonded to durable polyolefin wheel core.

Electric Conductive Wheel

Electric conductive wheels are mainly used in advanced medical equipment and the technology industry. Available in PU and TPR, Electric conductive wheels comply with international standards (Resistance < 104 Ω). These wheels are ideal for medical devices, trolleys and hospital beds which are fitted with precision electronic instruments and frequently moved. Electric conductive wheels conduct electricity emanating from electronic devices to the floor, ensuring patient safety and protecting equipment.

Antistatic Wheel

Antistatic wheels are also available in both PU and TPR, and comply with international standard (Resistance < 108 Ω). Normally, static electricity is generated as a wheel moves in a dry environment – as a result, dust, hair, etc. on the floor is attracted to the wheel surface. Antistatic wheels are the perfect solution to this problem.

Rubber Wheel

Rubber offers a cost effective alternative to polyurethane while providing a cushioned and quiet ride for the product being transported. Neoprene and high load compounds are also available.

Elastic Rubber Wheel

Elastic rubber wheels are low rolling resistance, wear-resisting, and without any marks after walking on the floor, it’s used to medium or above loads, and suitable for a variety of roads with high elasticity, mute, acid and alkali resistant.

Cast Iron Wheel

Precision machined cast iron wheels feature premium Class 30 gray iron with heavy duty cross sections. These wheels are excellent for high heat applications.

V-Groove Wheel

V grooves are machined from either cast iron or hot forged steel wheels. V-grooves work on track or off track and are essential where precise alignment or indexing of equipment is necessary.

Phenolic Resin Wheel

Phenolic resin wheels offer a load carrying capacity approaching that of cast iron or steel wheels. Phenolic resin wheels are a cost effective alternative with increased reliability and will not damage floors.

Pneumatic Wheel

Pneumatic wheels offer the highest cushioning, shock absorbing caster/wheel, without moving to a more expensive spring loaded caster. Capacities of pneumatics are limited due to the soft cushioning characteristics of the wheel.

Foam PU Wheel

Foam PU wheels like Pneumatic wheels, which offer the highest cushioning, shock absorbing caster/wheel, usually applied to baby trolley, stretcher and wheelchair.

Bearing Selection

Ball Bearing

Recommended for maximum rolling ease with no maintenance lubrication required. Quiet operation for medium-duty to heavy-duty loads. Not suggested for severe side or impact loads.

Annular Ball Bearing

Bearings are machined with hardened raceways. Ideal for applications where maximum rolling ease and quiet operation are needed. Best suited for light to medium-duty loads. Bearing is pre-assembled and the entire unit is mounted in the wheel.

Roller Bearing

The roller bearing is capable of carrying a greater load than the same size diameter ball bearing. It has a split outer race shell into which the roller assembly is inserted. The bearings are contained by hardened washers.

Delrin Bearing

Delrin bearings are extremely durable under a wide range of temperatures, humid conditions and are corrosion resistant. Wheels with the Delrin bearings are well suited for applications such as steam cleaning or where excessive water or liquid is present.

Plain Bearing

The plain bearing is a simplified, cost-effective solution for low load capacity, low speed and wet conditions, it also be named non-bearing or spanner bushing.

Brake Selection

Side Lock Brake

The side lock brake is used on lighter duty casters. This brake design places a positive locking force against the wheel hub to hold loads securely. A large foot pedal makes the brake easy to operate and provides an efficient, cost-effective hub braking system.

Top Lock Brake

The top lock brake is used on medium duty casters. Top Lock brakes provide positive braking action on all types of wheels. A special cam activated brake mechanism locks firmly and is easy to engage and disengage.

Directional Lock Brake

Lock the swivel for straight tracking on zinc plated top plate swivel casters. The foot-activated directional lock engages simply and securely into lead or trailing position and is compatible with a full range of wheels.

Total Lock Brake

Total Lock brake locks the wheel and swivel simultaneously. This brake is easily operated with foot action and provides virtually maintenance free operation.

Total Lock Brake with Dual Pedals

This brake is constructed of durable nylon or Aluminum Alloy, and ideally suited for wet or corrosive conditions. Heavy loads are held securely with the simple toe operation.

Central Locking Brake

Central locking brakes are for the ease of handling, maneuvering and positioning the hospital bed.

Wrap Around Brake

The wrap around brake is used on scaffolding castors. This brake is easily operated with foot action and provides total access to the braking system regardless of the caster orientation, what’s more the wheel moves from its swivel position to a rigid position base on application of the brake.

Fork Selection

Finishing Treatment

In order to increase the fork life and raise decoration ability and corrosion resistance, proper heat treatment and surface treatment is the key.

The most common surface treatment process is galvanization (also called Zinc plating) and electroless Nickel or Chrome plating is widely used as a surface treatment. and currently electrophoresis with black coating is popular more and more.

Swivle Seals

The dirt-ban swivel seals are available on most of series casters, which is optional feature with customized color. To field install the seals, simply remove the caster wheel and place seals in the upper and lower raceway.

Dust Caps

The dust caps are available on medium duty series casters, which is optional feature and popular requirment for American marketing, you should decide whether need it or not before production because it's not field installable.

Mounting

There're more than 10 types of mountings available, and there're more specification for every type of mountings, it's strongly recommend to have the appropriate measurements of mounting decive when selecting the caster, please refer to specifications page for presentation.
